“Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come.” – Matthew 24:42
Lord God Almighty, I praise You for Your greatness, Your holiness, and Your unchanging faithfulness. You are the God who watches over Your people, who guides, protects, and sustains us with unfailing love. Your wisdom is perfect, Your timing is flawless, and Your care surrounds us in every season of life.
This verse reminds me of the call to spiritual alertness—to live each day awake, attentive, and anchored in Your truth. Jesus urges us to remain watchful not out of fear, but out of devotion and readiness, knowing that Your plans unfold in ways and times we cannot predict. It teaches me that a faithful life is one that stays rooted in Your Word, mindful of Your presence, and consistent in obedience.
Lord, help me to live with a watchful heart. Strengthen me to stay spiritually awake, to resist distractions, and to walk each day with intention and faithfulness. Grant me grace to be ready for Your coming—whether in moments of guidance, correction, blessing, or the final return of Christ. Keep my heart steady, my spirit attentive, and my life aligned with Your will. Amen
