MONTHLY DEVOTIONAL FOR 10th DECEMBER

THE 10th OF DECEMBER

THERE IS STRENGTH IN THE GRACE THAT WE HAVE RECEIVED IN CHRIST JESUS

You therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.
2 Timothy 2:1

Timothy was Paul’s spiritual son, who like all of us, was hurting because of what was going on in his life and for those around him. We cannot have the strength that we need if we are not truly searching for it. It is not enough just to know that there is an amazing grace in Christ Jesus to be strong, we must apply it.

We must be determined to not allow our weaknesses and failures to rule our lives, but to desire to be empowered by what God did for us which is available for every single one of us. If we start the day by reminding ourselves of how much God loves us and we count our blessings, thanking the Lord for every single one of them, the Holy Spirit will constantly strengthen and empower us. When things go wrong, the best way to avoid doubt and discouragement, is to remind ourselves that God loves us.

SUGGESTED PRAYER

Nothing can compare to Your love for me, dear Lord. The more I understand Your love, the stronger I am. You are my everything and in You I not only find my strength but also my peace and joy. Thank You so much for Your amazing grace. You never left me alone, but You were, are and will always be in my heart and help me to get the victory in every situation. Your plan is always the best and I can count on Your wisdom and desire to help me out, no matter how hard my situation seems to be to the human mind. Thank You with all my heart Father God for the unmerited favor You have given me through Your Son, Jesus Christ. Amen
