STRENGTHEN YOUR FAITH BY PRAYING IN THE HOLY SPIRIT
“But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.” – Jude 1:20-21
The apostle Jude introduces himself as a servant of Jesus Christ and the brother of James, though he was also a half-brother of the Lord. Initially, neither Jude nor James believed that Jesus was the Son of God. However, after witnessing His crucifixion and resurrection, they fully embraced the truth and became devoted followers of Christ.
We are called to be mindful of our beliefs and thoughts, as these shape our emotions, words, and actions. To navigate this rightly, we must rely on the guidance of the Holy Spirit. When we pray in the Spirit, our prayers are not led by our minds but by God’s Spirit, who can speak through earthly languages or tongues. By continually reminding ourselves of God’s immense love and worth for us, we grow in faith and learn to trust Him even in difficult times.
SUGGESTED PRAYER
Heavenly Father, thank You for Your unfailing love and mercy. Thank You for the gift of the Holy Spirit and His perfect guidance. Fill me with Your presence and enable me to pray through the Holy Spirit, whose prayers align perfectly with Your will and bring the best answers. Help me to remember daily how deeply You love me so that I may remain in Your love and never doubt my worth in Your eyes. In Jesus’ Name, I pray. Amen
