THE 7th OF MARCH
“This is the day the Lord has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.” – Psalm 118:24
Each day is a precious gift from the Lord, and we are called to embrace it with joy and gratitude. Since every day is “this day,” we have the choice to be glad, focusing on what we have rather than what we lack. Even if our “glass is only half full,” the portion that is full holds more significance than what is missing.
An optimistic person finds joy naturally, without needing a specific reason, and does not allow minor troubles to steal their peace. On the other hand, a pessimistic person tends to dwell on worries, frustrations, and fears, making every little problem seem overwhelming. However, we have the ability to choose joy, even when sadness feels more natural. Though it may take effort, the rewards of a joyful heart are worth it.
God designed us to live with joy, peace, and contentment. Stress, fear, and negative emotions are tools of the enemy, meant to weigh us down. By intentionally choosing joy and focusing on gratitude, we align ourselves with God’s purpose and experience true fulfillment.
Thank You, Lord, for the gift of joy and laughter! Help us to see the good in every situation and to focus on the blessings You have given us. Teach us to rejoice in all that You have done and continue to do, and to remain content even in difficult times. Thank You for walking with us each day. To You be all glory and honor. Amen
