JESUS CHRIST IS THE CHIEF CORNERSTONE

“This is the ‘stone which was rejected by you builders, which has become the chief cornerstone.’ Neither is there salvation in any other; for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” – Acts 4:11-12

Apostle’s Peter speech in front of the Sanhedrin (the Jewish High Court) was full of the power of the Holy Spirit. Because Peter had surrendered it all to His Lord and He knew whom He served was full of courage and was able to make it very clear that Jesus is the Messiah and there is no other. Even if he was their prisoner, Peter was bold enough to emphasis the truth and tell the High Court that the One whom they rejected, “has become the chief cornerstone,” holding in place the perfect salvation plan of Father God.

There is only One who can bring us to heaven, and that is Jesus Christ, the true Messiah. Only in Jesus “we must be saved.” There is no other way and no other option. Jesus died in our place, paying for the sins of mankind and only by accepting His sacrifice can we be forgiven. The Name of Jesus Christ is the source of deliverance and salvation for all who believe in Him, repent of sins and follow Him wholehearted. The Name of Jesus is given to people, from all nations as the only way to be saved and spared from the wrath of God caused by their sin.

SUGGESTED PRAYER

Thank You Father God for the perfect salvation plan, in Jesus Christ. In Him alone I can make it to heaven and be spared from Your wrath. Thank You Jesus, for being the chief cornerstone, holding together the salvation plan and that You forgave my sins through Your sacrifice. Please help me to remain true to You, have boldness to defend my faith in You and live in such a way that those around me to know that I am Yours and I glorify You in all I do. Thank You for the tremendous power that is in Your Name, every time I proclaim it in faith. Glory and praises to Your holy Name for ever and ever. Amen
