Prayer for the people of Beirut, Lebanon

We apply to you, dear Mother Mary, for protection for the afflicted people of Beirut, Lebanon, who are reeling under the massive devastation brought on by the horrific blast that has scattered death, severe injury and destruction in its wake. Already heavily burdened by the Covid-19 pandemic which is creating havoc all over the world, we pray that the suffering will receive the required care to rebuild their lives, so necessary during a tragedy of this magnitude. Intercede to our Lord Jesus, our Divine Healer, to give comfort and solace to those who have lost their loved ones and to receive support from all peoples of the world for the injured and destitute. We pray for all the affected, and for the oppressors of the afflicted. We pray, that as Christians, we will use this period of time wisely, to show people in our path who Jesus is and the peace he can provide. We trust dear Mother, that your protective mantle will envelop all the suffering and that they will garner strength from the healing embrace of our Lord Jesus to return to their normal lives. Amen
