Psalm 107: 1-3

10 October, 2022

Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever. Let the redeemed of the Lord tell their story – those he redeemed from the hand of the foe, those he gathered from the lands, from east and west, from north and south. Psalm 107:1–3

O Father God, the countless blessings you render us, your great love, goodness, might and mercy are so magnificently immeasurable that our tongues fail to magnify sufficiently the praises of our incredible God. We exhort all nations and peoples to offer fervent thanksgiving to our awesome God. We were a condemned lot, bowed down by the weight of our flagrant misdemeanors and innumerable infidelities, in bondage by the forces of evil ruling the earth, chasing temporal gains, ignorant of the extent of our indiscretions and their consequences.

But you, Father, are a Merciful God, whose mercies towards sinful mankind abide forever and are unceasing. You never abandoned us, and your loving and providential deliverance preserved our lives and the resources of your Holy Word entrusted to us to accomplish your will, helped us survive and regain our faith, hope and trust in your Divine Providence.

Your plan of redemption with Jesus, the prophesied Messiah, giving us eternal deliverance by his death, made all things new and called us to eternal faithfulness. Death’s destructive grip has been severed forever and the curse that pronounced man’s eternal separation from you removed, with Christ’s incredible price, so that all who believe in him might not perish but be united with the Blessed Trinity through time and into eternity.

This message we will diligently propagate and proclaim our testimonies of the good news of your Kingdom to all corners of the earth, for in Jesus’ Name we have the gift of eternal freedom and by Jesus we have our future secured in your Kingdom for all eternity. Amen
