Psalm 118: 24-26

2 December, 2020

The Lord has done it this very day; let us rejoice today and be glad. Lord, save us! Lord, grant us success! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord. From the house of the Lord we bless you. Psalm 118:24-26

Eternal Father, with elation and exultant refrain we praise and bless your holy name, for we marvel at your infinite magnificence and have reverential awe when we perceive your profound kindness and goodness. Our lives are blessed and we welcome every new day with alacrity and new-found fervor, knowing that by our faith we are endowed with your grace and power.

Your plan of redemption started with the coming of our Messiah in humble surroundings, meek and gracious by stature. The day Jesus entered the limited dimensions of mortality was the day man was freed from bondage and reveled in that freedom.

We might be facing the toughest of times right now, but the truth is that you, God, have still given us breath for today. Jesus came to give us hope and freedom, He is the very reason we can live with joy right in the midst of our battles and have peace that is unexplainable to the world. He is with us and will never leave or fail us. His love covers us, He gives us the strength to face every trial and obstacle with courage and grace. We can rest in the security which that truth brings.

No matter what we are up against, we are confident of your unchanging love for us, always, for we know that just as Jesus is the cornerstone and foundation in our lives, redeeming us and binding us in a covenantal relationship with you, your providence has already provided for us in your Kingdom, an eternal heritage and so we rejoice and welcome all new believers in Jesus’ Name. Amen
