O taste and see that the Lord is good! Happy is the man who takes refuge in him! Psalm 34:8
Heavenly Father, you are the Rock of our Salvation and anyone who takes shelter in you is never abandoned or exposed to the devouring demons, disasters and other calamities one encounters on the journey of life. Your promises Lord, once made, stand firm and resolute and save all those who, in faith, seek your protection.
Lord, your holiness and goodness engulf and encompass all of us believers, who place our trust in your justice and divine mercy. Your grace is freely distributed to all who have approached you in faith and belief of their EverLiving God. You are the fount of eternal life, a gift given to the redeemed, who overpower evil and are committed to living a sacred life, adopting your dictates and commands.
We consecrate our lives to doing your will, selflessly and with recourse to your divine aid in all our undertakings, seeking to overcome worldliness and performing our duties as Christians in a Christlike manner, to add to your glory. Assist us Lord, in defeating the forces of temptation which are bound to assault us in order to bring our downfall and make us stumble, for the less we seek our own pleasures, the more inevitably and inexorably will pleasure pursue us, attacking our faith. At such times we seek preservation in you, in Jesus’ Name. Amen
