A father of the fatherless, and a judge of the widows, Is God in his holy habitation.- Psalm 68:5
O Lord, we lift our voices in praise to You, the Almighty Father who reigns from heaven. You are exalted above all creation, yet You draw near to the lowly and brokenhearted. You are Father to the fatherless and the Defender of widows, the One who surrounds the weak with Your strength and covers the lonely with Your love. We bless Your Holy Name for Your justice, mercy, and compassion that never fail.
We are reminded of Your heart, O God, revealed in the above Psalm, where You declare Yourself as the Father of the fatherless and Protector of widows. In a world where many feel abandoned, rejected, or left without support, You rise as the One who brings security and belonging. You are not a distant King but a present Guardian who establishes families for the lonely and gives hope to the vulnerable. Through this truth, we see how deeply You care for those society often overlooks.
Gracious Father, we pray that we may rest in the assurance of Your protection and love. Be the covering for those who feel alone, the strength for those who carry heavy burdens, and the comfort for those who mourn. Teach us also to reflect Your heart, that we may care for the fatherless, the widows, and the forgotten, just as You do. May our lives be instruments of Your mercy, bringing healing and hope in Your Name. Amen
