He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my shelter. My God, in Him will I trust. – Psalm 91: 1-2
Abba Father, it is with faith, confidence and trust that we, your children, cleave to you when in sorrow, fear, anxiety and woe. You are our only Refuge and Fortress and your Sanctuary is our Stronghold, where we can hide undetected, sure of your help when we are in need. We believe absolutely in your capacity as Protector and Deliverer.
You are a promise keeper and we know the power of your love, strength and assurances. You are the only trustworthy security and even your shadow provides the same solace. Nothing can disturb or threaten us when we are with you, for you are the most powerful Name. We call out to you when in danger and you never disappoint us.
Lord, your wisdom is unmatched and you know all our needs before we can ask for them. You also know which needs to fulfill, which are in accordance with your Holy Plan for us and which needs to dispel. For we learn in this manner that your Will is better than our free will, and only your way can reveal the certainty of what lies ahead. Whatever our circumstances this day, may we dwell in the grip of your mighty hands, in Jesus’ Name. Amen
