If I say, ‘Surely the darkness shall cover me, and the light about me be night,’ even the darkness is not dark to you; the night is bright as the day, for darkness is as light with you.” – Psalms 139:11-12
Amighty Father, you have the Power and the Might to, by your Holy Word, change darkness into the Light of the whole world, and your creation gives you Praise, for your everlasting Glory, which is incomparable and unmatched by anything or anyone that is of the world. As long as I acknowledge your Presence, I stand in the etherial Light of your Majesty, before which, darkness of the unknown cannot overtake me or enslave me. The God who has the power to make the night bright as the day is my Refuge, my resting place, and every Christian acknowledges and trusts that the Lord is our sustaining Light.
We live in the assurance that the indwelling Holy Spirit enlightens our soul, with the hope that, abiding always in Jesus our Lord, we may never encounter the darkness of despair and despondence, but with absolute trust in the Light of the world, our Lord Jesus Christ, have the enduring faith that as forerunner on our behalf, Jesus has prepared for us a place in the everlasting light of your holy countenance. We breathe deep and rest easy in the power of Jesus and trust in His love for all who rely on his saving grace and mercy.
Lord, we are like nothingness before you, our All-Powerful, Omnipresent, Omnipotent and Omniscient God, before Whom the ruler of darkness cannot dim the Light of our Faith, for you, God, know our disposition and weaknesses, we are laid bare before you and surrender ourselves completely to our God of Knowledge and Wisdom. We are sure in the belief that our Mighty God will not allow darkness to engulf us, wherever we may be, but that you, Lord, will uphold us in the Light of your Holy Face, in Jesus’ Name. Amen
