Love does no evil to the neighbor; hence, love is the fulfillment of the law. Awareness of the End of Time.
Romans 13:10
Heavenly Father, Everloving God, your love encompasses the whole universe and is absolute and unconditional. You are the Giver of life, and you showed that your love has no measure, by creating us in your image and likeness and breathing your breath into us. Even though we betrayed your infinite love and mercy for us, you did not annihilate us, but sent Jesus, your Word made flesh and incarnate, to suffer and die for us and destroy sin and death, reuniting us with you, regaining your favor, your grace and your acceptance of us, at the end of time, into the kingdom of heaven, to live in your glorious presence forever.
Jesus revealed your Holy Will to us by giving us your new covenant of love, by our service and duty to our Christian brethren and all our fellowmen. To love you, with our whole hearts, minds and strength and to love our neighbor as we love ourselves. This is your new commandment, which incorporates the special precept of selfless duty to others. Therefore in propounding the law of love towards others, we need to avoid injury, evil, neglect of any kind and give of ourselves sacrificially, studying to be useful in every situation of life.
Lord, help us to cultivate mercy towards others and give every one his own, for you have given us this command of love, which, if followed, will be an act of obedience to your Holy Word and to your law and doctrines. Such love will perfect us in avoiding sinful and wilful indulgences, will keep us free from debt, lawlessness, injury, unkindness to others lives and characters and reward us with the gifts and charisms of the Holy Spirit, as we live in active principle of perfect obedience to your Will, submissive and with purity of spirit, enduring in Jesus’ Name. Amen
