Titus 2: 11-12

18 April, 2023

For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people. It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age. – Titus 2: 11-12

We thank you, our Gracious God, our Creator and Redeemer, for by your great plan of redemption you have dispensed to all mankind the free grace of eternal salvation for believers who live in godliness and sanctity of the body, mind and spirit. You have delivered us from all iniquity and broken the bondages of sin and death and of the evil one’s hold on us, thus leading us from the darkness of falsehoods into the purifying light of righteousness and Truth.

The Power of the Spirit within us teaches us that, denying ungodliness, atheism or false religion, we are called by faith and by our life in Christ, to live according to your statutes and commands, adhering to your Holy Gospel and submitting to your plans for each of us. We lean on you for guidance, strength and the courage of your Divine Being, to avoid erroneous and superstitious lives, full of human ego, conceit and the delusions with which the devil attempts to ensnare us.

Heavenly Father, lead us to deny lives filled with worldly lusts, evil inclinations, and unlawful desires, which lead to eternal damnation and condemnation. We need to be ever watchful in living soberly, with dignity, self-respect and restraint over our passions and emotions. May we live with mutual respect for our brethren, in peace and harmony, giving Praise and Honor to your Holy Name and piously discharging our Christian duties with uprightness and godliness. We ask this in the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
