TODAY’S GOSPEL READING
10 NOVEMBER, 2025
Luke 17:1-6
Jesus said to his disciples,
“Things that cause sin will inevitably occur,
but woe to the one through whom they occur.
It would be better for him if a millstone were put around his neck
and he be thrown into the sea
than for him to cause one of these little ones to sin.
Be on your guard!
If your brother sins, rebuke him;
and if he repents, forgive him.
And if he wrongs you seven times in one day
and returns to you seven times saying, ‘I am sorry,’
you should forgive him.”
And the Apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith.”
The Lord replied, “If you have faith the size of a mustard seed,
you would say to this mulberry tree,
‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it would obey you.”
THE GOSPEL OF THE LORD!

REFLECTION
In this passage, Jesus teaches about the seriousness of causing others to sin, the need for forgiveness, and the power of faith. He warns that leading others astray brings grave consequences, urging His followers to live with integrity and compassion. Jesus then calls His disciples to forgive repeatedly, showing that love must triumph over offense. When the apostles ask for more faith, Jesus reminds them that even faith as small as a mustard seed can do the impossible. True faith is not about size but about trust in God’s power, which transforms hearts and situations.
PRAYER
Lord Jesus, thank You for Your words that guide and correct me. Help me to live in a way that draws others closer to You and never causes them to stumble. Teach me to forgive as You forgive—freely, completely, and without measure. Strengthen my faith, even if it feels small, so that I may trust You in every challenge and see Your mighty hand at work. May my life reflect Your mercy, and may my faith grow deeper each day. Amen
