TODAY’S GOSPEL READING
15 JULY, 2025
Matthew 11:20–24
Jesus began to reproach the towns where most of his mighty deeds had been done, since they had not repented.
“Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida!
For if the mighty deeds done in your midst had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would long ago have repented in sackcloth and ashes. But I tell you, it will be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon on the day of judgment than for you. And as for you, Capernaum: Will you be exalted to heaven?
You will go down to the netherworld.
For if the mighty deeds done in your midst had been done in Sodom, it would have remained until this day. But I tell you, it will be more tolerable
for the land of Sodom on the day of judgment than for you.”
THE GOSPEL OF THE LORD!

REFLECTION
This Gospel is a sobering reminder that witnessing God’s power calls for real change. Jesus reproaches the towns that saw His miracles yet refused to repent. It is easy to take God’s grace for granted or delay conversion. He warns that spiritual privilege brings responsibility. The message is clear: respond with humility and repentance, or risk hardening your heart.
Do not ignore God’s invitations. Examine your heart and repent. Turn away from sin today and embrace His mercy while there is still time.
PRAYER
Lord Jesus, open my heart to Your call to repentance. Help me to see the areas where I need to change. Give me true sorrow for my sins and the grace to live a life that pleases You. Lead me always closer to Your mercy and love. Amen
