TODAY’S GOSPEL READING
28 NOVEMBER, 2025
Luke 21:29-33
Jesus told his disciples a parable.
“Consider the fig tree and all the other trees.
When their buds burst open,
you see for yourselves and know that summer is now near;
in the same way, when you see these things happening,
know that the Kingdom of God is near.
Amen, I say to you, this generation will not pass away
until all these things have taken place.
Heaven and earth will pass away,
but my words will not pass away.”
THE GOSPEL OF THE LORD!

REFLECTION
Jesus uses the simple image of a fig tree sprouting leaves to teach us attentiveness. Just as we recognize the changing of seasons by observing creation, we are called to discern the spiritual seasons around us. His words remind us that God’s movements are often clear to those who watch with expectant hearts. Jesus assures us that while the world may shift and circumstances may appear uncertain, His Word remains unshakeable—steadfast, trustworthy, and eternal. It is our anchor when life feels unstable and our guide when we long for direction.
PRAYER
Lord Jesus, thank You for the assurance that Your Word endures forever. Help me to live with spiritual alertness, to recognize the signs of Your presence, and to remain rooted in what You have spoken. In the midst of changing seasons, keep my heart steady and my faith firm. Teach me to trust Your promises and to find confidence in Your unchanging truth. Amen
