1 Corinthians 2:12

17 May, 2021

We have not received the spirit of the world but the Spirit who is from God, that we may understand what God has freely given us. 1 Corinthians 2:12

Heavenly Father, we humbly offer you our oblation, hearts overflowing with grateful praise, for you have uplifted our souls, by never abandoning us, for we had fallen from the state of your grace, to a state of slavery to sin and death that, but for your divine plan, would have made us suffer eternal condemnation, leaving us lost to you forever.

Lord, your love for us is so sublime, that you did not leave us to such a fate, for you had created us to be perfect and you were prepared, out of your supreme,  unfathomable love for us, to save us by sacrificing your only Son for our sakes. Lord, our hearts are filled to overflowing for your great goodness and we extol you on high for the wondrous works of your hands as Creator and Lord of the entire universe. Jesus took up the unprecedented mission of salvation and came in human form, was most cruelly crucified, and won the victory of eternal life for us, by destroying sin and death.

The salvific gift of redemption, the sanctification, the graces and excellent favors are freely given by you through the power of the Holy Spirit. You granted your Spirit to repentant sinners for spiritual growth through divine teaching and intervention, to enable us to grasp the secrets and truth of the heavenly kingdom which is our inheritance gained by faith, and your grace, and we exalt you, through Jesus, our Lord. Amen
