2 Corinthians 12: 9 -10

1 May, 2022

But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
2 Corinthians 12: 9–10

O Lord, our hearts swell with gratitude and we extol your Majesty for, as our Father, you have manifested abundant love and clemency towards us. You have bestowed upon us the power of your Holy Spirit in our lives, so that we may live with your power pervading our spirit and lifting us up, as we traverse life’s journey. You have established your great covenant of love with us, to enable us to remain in communion with you and in Christian love and brotherhood with our community, the members of Christ’s Body.

Father, we are privileged to be the recipient of your graces, especially when our hearts resonate with the perfection of your infinite benevolence. Your goodness in granting us redemption through our Lord Jesus Christ endows us with a daunting spirit of suffering with fortitude the many challenges of our Christian life. We anticipate your mercy when we face trials and sorrow, for your Might is experienced by us.

Emboldened and strengthened by your grace we bear our crosses with the sustained faith that following Jesus will assuredly lead us into your Divine Presence. We submit and stay loyal and faithful to your Holy Will, humbly seeking you in every step of our journey in life. We pray that we may always abide in the shadow of your Majesty, in Jesus’ Name. Amen
