Isaiah 40: 29-31

5, June 2020

He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. Isaiah 40:29–31

Lord our God, our loving Father, we thank you for all that our hearts and spirits are allowed to receive from you. We thank you for the community you give us, strengthening us to face life even through toil, struggle, and privation. Grant that your powers flow out to give us strength and courage. May we see and recognize you in your deeds ever more clearly. Do not let us faint or grow weary, no matter what we have to suffer.

Grant that your Spirit may penetrate us ever more deeply to bring peace to us and those around us, and finally to bring blessing for all peoples of the earth. May we never lose our hope in your unshakeable promises, but allow the uplifting of our spirit by the strength and power of your Holy Word. Lord, you are a Mighty God in times of tribulation and a Refuge, to renew and rejuvenate our lives, according to your Holy Will.

Bless each of your children Lord, who rely in the comfort of your Power and place themselves under your care with complete trust. Help us overcome all hindrances and barricades, which are but delusions planted in our way, by the evil one, who delights in stopping our strides towards you by obstacles and temptations. May we soar high, with the strength of eagles, by your Grace poured upon those who walk in obedience and submission to you, in Jesus’ Name. Amen
