Yet you, Lord, are our Father. We are the clay, you are the potter; we are all the work of your hand. – Isaiah 64:8
Dear God, you are the Founder and the foundation of humanity, for you created us in your image, we represent your likeness, and we breathe your breath, the breath of life. Yet, our mortal bodies are held captive, time and time again by the devil and his tribe, the fallen angels, the rulers of the regions of darkness. Lord, as our Father, we trace our origin to you, for Adam was your son, you were never going to abandon us and leave us as slaves of the devil and had, before the foundation of the earth, formulated and perfected your plan of salvation.
You have known from the outset, being Omniscient, that we would, in our pride and arrogance, yield to our rebellious nature and the weaknesses of the flesh and pleasures of our mortal being. So you sent your only Son, the Word made flesh, to redeem and rescue us with the price of his Blood, so that we could be reconciled and restored to you and also restore the glory of your Kingdom, by defeating and destroying eternal death and giving us the free gift of Salvation.
We are forever mortified by our rebellion and insensitive acts of degradation, the very nature of which deserved your just condemnation. By redeeming us to yourself and forgiving our iniquities and base nature, you have testified your perfect and unconditional love and your great and boundless compassion. You are a Righteous God and have brought us to righteousness in spirit. Help us always follow your Holy Will and submit in obedience to you, in Jesus’ Name. Amen
