Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst”. – John 6:35
Eternal Father, we bless and thank you for your loving care, for nourishing and replenishing our soul with spiritual communion with you, since we are unable to receive you sacrementally due to the current situation. You abide with us every single day, in all our works which we trustingly submit to you, praying for guidance to adhere to and discern your Holy plan for us. We focus on you and forego the illusionary, crafty snares of the devil, who spares no effort to slacken the evil grip of his clutches.
Jesus explicitly came to fulfil your salvation plan for man’s redemption, and declared to us that he was the One sent by you, to destroy death and obtain for us the grace of eternal life found only through belief in him. He combined the idea of spiritual hunger and spiritual thirst, to attain saving faith, and with it, the blessing of everlasting life. Jesus made known to all man his own divinity, as the Son of God, come on earth to offer us the bread that gives spiritual and eternal life, while also upholding and maintaining our spiritual life.
Jesus accomplished your mission of enlightening those that were dead in deep trespasses and sins, and giving new birth and eternal life to all those who followed and believed him. By believing in him, we testify to the gospel truth of the Kingdom of Heaven, the deliverance received by him as the Mediator and Saviour of men, our restoration by him to life and eternal happiness and the continued sustenance we enjoy from receiving his Body and Blood in the Holy Eucharist, in the Name of our Lord Jesus. Amen
