Luke 16:10

22 February, 2022

One who is faithful in a very little is also faithful in much, and one who is unreliable in a very little is also unreliable in much. – Luke 16:10

Eternal God, of Steadfastness and Righteousness, our voices rise in one accord, resonating with praises of your great glory, which is reflected in the beauty of your wondrous creation. Your deep love for mankind is a reminder that nothing and no-one can separate us from our God and we repeat your manifold promises made to us in music and melody, rejoicing in the truth of your everlasting Majesty, which presides over the earth and will remain forever.

Lord, you are a faithful God and you reward your children who cleave to you, trusting in your mercy and perfect love, following truthfully and zealously in Jesus’ footsteps. You have commanded us to love you above all things and to love our neighbor as we love ourselves. Lord, the way we live our lives will justify us before you and we strive to attain the perfection you want in us, by doing all things in accordance with your Holy Will, in small things and great, working in truthfulness and sincerity.

Lord, help us imbibe wholesome values in our own lives and instil the same in those we influence, paying attention to little details, working in integrity and faithfulness, regardless of the price. Uprightness, especially in monetary dealings, is what reveals the truth about our authenticity as good human beings and true and holy disciples. Father, help us to be custodians of the truth in trifling matters, and those of great importance, in equal measure, with fairness and dedication. May we ever reflect purity of character, to obtain your blessings and favor, in Jesus’ Name. Amen
