Matthew 6:14

1 December, 2023

If you forgive those who sin against you, your Heavenly Father will forgive you. – Matthew 6:14

Eternal God, the Provider and Sustainer of the needs of the entire dominion and its creation, in you alone dwells the source of all things and in gratefulness, we worship and adore you, for you supply all our needs according to the riches of your glory, in the Name of our Lord Jesus. You are our Father, and it was your only begotten Son who joined us in this relationship, by sacrificing his life, nailing our sins to the Cross and giving us eternal salvation by your grace.

Jesus preached and taught us to love our only Living God and to love one another, as you desired through your new and everlasting covenant with us. He commanded us to be obedient to your Holy Word and to do your Holy Will. He admonished us to abandon all evil and to not just love our fellow human beings, but to pardon all injury, all insult, committed against us, refraining from judging and punishing others, if we desired that our Father absolve us fully.

Our Savior’s death cancelled the debts of our sins in its entirety, justifying us to stand before you in righteousness and entitling us to gain citizenship in your eternal Kingdom, by being followers of Jesus by our faith. Father, you have given us the grace to be co-heirs and your adopted children, having a place in heaven which will be prepared for us by Christ. And by condoning our brethren, we are assured of complete acquittal of all our lapses, to enter your Presence, fully sanctified, in Jesus’ Name. Amen
