THE 8TH OF MARCH
IN CHRIST, WE ARE ONE
“There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.” – Galatians 3:28
Jesus did not come as the Son of Man to abolish the Law given to the Jews through Moses but to fulfill it. John the Baptist testified of Him, saying, “Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!” (John 1:29b). Through His sacrifice, Jesus completed the Law, and since His resurrection, we are no longer under the Law but under God’s grace. By paying the price for the sins of all humanity, Jesus removed the curse brought upon mankind by sin. Now, those who come to Him and live in obedience to His Word receive the blessings that God originally intended for mankind before the fall.
Through Jesus, we are united, equal in value before God, regardless of gender, nationality, or social status. Each of us is uniquely created for a divine purpose. Jesus gave His life for all, so that through the Holy Spirit, we might be born again and inherit eternal life.
Women hold a special and unique place in God’s creation. Scripture tells us that enmity exists between women and the devil. Throughout history, this enmity has led to the mistreatment and disregard of women.
Jesus, born of a woman, entered the world as one of us. Through His sacrifice, He fulfilled the prophecy of Genesis 3:15, crushing the enemy’s power and making it possible for both men and women to be restored to God’s original design—where neither was meant to dominate the other. We are called to love and respect one another, for Jesus paid the same price for all, and He has prepared the same eternal home for us. As Paul instructs, “Submit to one another in the fear of God” (Ephesians 5:21).
SUGGESTED PRAYER
Heavenly Father, thank You for the freedom we have in Jesus Christ, who redeemed us from the curse of the Law and granted us the gift of Your amazing grace! In You, we are equal, and Your love knows no distinctions. Help us always to remember that no one is superior to another, regardless of gender, nationality, or status. Our true worth is found in our relationship with You. All glory and praise be to Your holy Name for all You have done for us. Amen
