“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths”. – Proverbs 3:5-6
Lord our God, you are Omniscient and know everything. Nothing lies hidden from you. You know our innermost minds and know our intentions even before we do, just as you’ve known us before we entered our mother’s womb. That’s because you have molded and made us, giving us shape and form, in accordance with your own perfection. We are sojourners here on earth and we need to rely on you, Father, to direct us through godly wisdom and knowledge to our eternal heavenly home.
For only you know the perfect plans you have charted for us, which, if followed correctly, can lead us without error, in the right direction. This eliminates the pitfalls and obstacles, the temptations and sinful desires which the ruler of darkness is wont to place in the paths of human beings, in order to harness their souls and hold them captive of his heinous schemes and dastardly plans.
Lord God, it is imperative that we follow your footsteps by keeping true to your doctrines, to your covenant and to your Holy Gospel of Truth, as our ways are bound to be faulty and our steps unsure, if we fail to submit to your Divine Providence and Protection, to your absolute control and your perfect understanding. Your Will needs to be ours, at all times, and your Holy Word, our saving grace. For salvation is ours through Jesus Christ and where he leads, we will follow, with the guidance of the Holy Spirit, in Jesus’ Name. Amen
