Good and upright is the Lord; therefore he instructs sinners in his ways. He guides the humble in what is right and teaches them his way. Psalm 25:8–9
Father in Heaven, we thank you for being our Stronghold and Fortress, the Holy Sanctuary and safe Shelter we can run to, when in torment. We bless you Lord, for guiding us in times of grief and never forsaking us. Now, as always, you are with us, Lord our God, and you direct us, leading us in the purity of your radiance, where no wicked disturbance can follow.
Bountiful and gracious are you Lord, to sinners who approach you with hands outstretched in humble supplication and submission, with deep belief and with penitence in their hearts. You delight in their return and readily discipline them, enlightening their paths towards what is right, teaching them to discern and to choose what is holy and acceptable in your sight, with wisdom and endurance.
You are righteous in making promises, faithful in your declarations and offers of mercy to sinners. But the proud and scornful, will be judged by the errors and lusts of their own hearts, which you will blind and harden them to their ruin. We humbly and earnestly seek your grace and mercy and with resolute and meek hearts seek eternal comfort in your infinite love, in Jesus’ Name. Amen
