The LORD is my strength and my shield; My heart trusts in Him, and I am helped; Therefore my heart exults, And with my song I shall thank Him. – Psalm 28:7
Eternal God, All-powerful and Ever-living, we exult in jubilation, for we are your people and you are our God, our Stronghold, our Sanctuary of peace, our Defender, Protector and Deliverer. You reign over the whole of creation and everything exists and operates under your authority. Thank you Lord, for sustaining us in trouble and distress, for only you can keep us from harm.
Lord, we submit to your Holy Will, for your plans are only to prosper us. We have undeniably rebelled against you and deserve your justified punishment. Please help us keep the tempter at bay, for we are subject to human folly and are often lost and entangled in situations of our own weakness. But your strength delivers and upholds us.
You have manifested your divine Power and Presence infinite times in our lives, to keep us out of slavery to temptation. We praise you and worship you for abiding in us, embracing us in your sublime love through Jesus your Son, Who is the only way to you and we seek the counsel of your Holy Spirit, to understand your Holy Will and obey your Word, through Jesus our Lord. Amen
