The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. – Psalm 34:18
Abba Father, it is the greatest comfort to know that you are God of all, in every way, perfect and absolute, and your Omnipresent Spirit fills the firmament. We worship you and honor your Divine Being. You are our Rock, our Shelter and Fortress, and we take refuge in you and have recourse to you in trials and troubles. Lord, your assurances are what give us trust, and complete belief and faith in your steadfastness. You are watchful of the doings of your children, and ready to help, deliver, heal and save.
Father, we know your commands and make devout endeavors to follow your Holy Word and walk in your Holy Path, for we belong to you and Jesus, our Lord and Redeemer has brought us, following your plan, into a holy relationship with you. We seek repentance for defiling your Holy Word by our transgressions and offending your utmost goodness and kindness. Lord, we bow before you in humble gratitude and perfect servility, conforming to obeying your Divine Will.
We rely on your Spirit of Truth, Who governs our hearts to righteousness, and uplifts us to regain your holy and saving grace when we fall into the wayward ways of sin. Lord, strengthen us in our mortal weakness and have mercy on us sinners. Christ has saved us and called us to eternal sonship with you. We abide in Christ, trusting your divine intervention and providence in our sorrows and have faith in our endurance, with your grace, in Jesus’ Name. Amen
1 Prayer
O God, please be with those whose lives are difficult and filled with pain and sadness. Please minister in personal and mighty ways to every believer with a crushed spirit. Dear Father, please rekindle the hope of every discouraged Christian. Empower them as they hold on to their faith. Pour out your Spirit with power, strengthening each weary and burdened heart. Help each one of your children hold onto his or her faith, finding a renewed sense of hope in your presence. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
