Revelation 15: 2b – 4

9 October, 2022

They were standing by the sea of glass, holding harps that God had given them and singing the song of Moses, the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb: “Lord God Almighty, how great and wonderful are your deeds! King of the nations, how right and true are your ways! Who will not stand in awe of you, Lord? Who will refuse to declare your greatness? You alone are holy. All the nations will come and worship you, because your just actions are seen by all.” Revelation 15:2b–4

We proclaim your Most Holy Name, O Mighty God, and join the never-ending songs of praises to our Creator, in the ethereal voices of the choirs of angels and the melodious sounds of the harp and the lute. They profoundly announce the magnificent works of your hands, your Holy ways, zealous, steadfast and abounding in righteousness. You created the entire universe to an absolute state of perfection and precision. You are infallible, immortal, unchanging and unshakable.

It is our fickleness and corruption which created a chasm between the heavenly realms and the earth, which separated your errant children from you. But your dominion reaches to the ends of the earth and your steadfastness prevails forever. And so Father, your sublime love overcame your wrath and you stretched forth your mighty hand and rescued us from bondage of sin and death, which the treacherous rulers of darkness had lured us into.

Such is your Holiness, Justice, Power and Majesty that you recognized the weakness, mortification and supplication of your unworthy people and upheld them from sinful submission by the most unparalleled act of sacrificing the life of your beloved Son. You are our God and we are your people. Jesus has commissioned us, as Christians, to evangelize the good news of your Holy gospel and your Sovereignty over all peoples of the earth, till everyone can partake of your Kingdom in Jesus’ Name. Amen
