HUMILITY BORN FROM HUMILIATION
“God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.”
— James 4:6
Blessed Peter Gonzalez began his career as a proud and ambitious cleric, seeking honor and advancement. However, a humiliating fall from his horse in public, while dressed in fine attire, became a turning point in his life. This moment of embarrassment pierced his pride and awakened in him a desire for true humility. He left behind worldly ambition and joined the Dominican Order, embracing a life of simplicity and surrender. His story reminds us that God often uses moments of humiliation to strip away pride and draw us closer to Him.
A LIFE TRANSFORMED BY GRACE

PRAYER
