Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever. – Hebrews 13:8
Lord God, you are our Creator and you are our Defender, God of the Living, One, True and Everlasting. Your dominion extends over all that exists, now and forever. For as far as the sight can extend, and beyond, everything belongs to you. You are Unchangeable, Perfect, Absolute, and Unparalleled in your righteousness and in all the attributes the perfectness of which is unmatched.
In your goodness and mercy, you created human beings in your image, perfect and comely, and breathed the purity of your breath into us all. Yet we rebelled and fell away from your favor. But, contrary to abandoning us, you made a new covenant of pure love with us and demonstrated that love, by sending your Son Jesus, to purchase and ransom our sins for the price of his crucifixion and death. He resurrected, ascended and assumed his seat at your right hand, Father, and we have assurance in the belief that he is making a place for each of the faithful, the believers and followers of Christ, to occupy and reside forever, in heaven, as co-heirs and children of God.
We have been perfected by Jesus Christ and all his ministers who faithfully issued forth into the world, preaching the gospel truth of the wonders of your Eternal Kingdom and by conversion, expanding the good news to all ends of the earth. Jesus showed us that his person, his doctrine and his promises which you gave him, and which he bequeathed to us, are unshakable, till the end of the ages. Jesus’ person, which is of sanctified love and sacrifice, is immutable. He abides and will continue to abide in us, through his mystical body, the Church. He is Head and abides in us, in unchanging manner unto the end of time. This is our deep rooted faith in your promises dear Father, which we propagate in our work of evangelizing, in Jesus’ Name. Amen
