John 3:17

24 April, 2022

For God did not send His Son into the world that He might condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through Him. – John 3: 17

O Glorious God, you have never received the glory and honor that your Majesty should command from your ungrateful creation, for the wisdom and knowledge you had blessed them with, were used for the degradation of their being. Lord, we bow and prostrate ourselves before you in shamefaced humility, for even the fear of the Lord our God did not stop us from stooping low into humiliation. We are blessed that, instead of abandoning us, you saved us. Instead of condemning us, you uplifted us.

Father, thank You for Your Word of truth revealed to us by our Lord and your beloved Son, Whom you sent as our Messiah and Savior, to pull us out of bondage and enslavement and free us from the dungeons of hellfire. Your covenant, your promises, gave us new faith and hope and made us question our own actions and motives. Thank you for cleansing us and loving us, causing us to reflect on the gospel taught by our Lord, which gave us fellowship in Christ.

Help us to be wise and prudent and may we rid ourselves of empty and proud conceit, showing the love of God to those in need. For it is the corruption of men, shutting their eyes against the light, and hardening their hearts against the offers and tenders of Divine grace and mercy, which Christ came to change and this was the mission of his coming. Not for condemnation, but to offer the grace of the gospel, and eternal life and salvation, to men in the world, for your glory, in Jesus’ Name. Amen
