Psalm 105:1

12 July, 2022

Give thanks to the Lord and proclaim his greatness. Let the whole world know what he has done. – Psalm 105:1

Eternal God, we are overwhelmed with gratefulness and praise for our Loving Father, for you have never abandoned or betrayed us. You have faithfully cared for and defended us. There is no one like you, O Lord, for when we look at nature, we behold the awesome wonders of your creativity. When we look at life, we see your love for all things, great and small, which are the work of your hands, shaped by you with immense love. Even on the hardest of days, you are near us, to protect and heal, serve and deliver us.

There are innumerable moments where you have provided for your people and have healed and saved your people out of the darkness of ignominy and the dungeons of death. We remember your faithfulness and are filled with gratitude, for gratitude comes from recognizing what you have done for us. We survey all the testimonies when you have worked in our past circumstances. They bring to mind your mercy and forgiveness, your grace and redemption inspite of our wickedness and we acknowledge your faithfulness and genuinely worship and thank you.

We revere you, Lord God, for out of our nothingness you have given us new life and new hearts and have kept your promises and providence to us. We seek you, Lord and invoke your Holy Name, which carries authority and power and is above all other names. We proclaim and testify to your goodness, whenever we call on your Great Name, propagating the faith and your teachings, for all to gain a greater understanding of you and thus sing out your praises, adding to your glory. We commit ourselves to our commission of making your Name known to all nations, inspiring others to seek and worship you in Jesus’ Name. Amen
