Psalm 32:8

28 January, 2021

I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you. Psalm 32:8

Abba Father, as our Heavenly Father, the Author of our Life, our Refuge and Comfort, the God of our Salvation, we have every cause to rejoice, praise, glorify and worship your Holy Majesty. Lord, we humble ourselves in your presence, deeming ourselves unworthy of your goodness and mercy. We are sinners by means of our human nature and acknowledge that we need you constantly, to ward off the danger of sin.

Lord, you are our Saviour and we trust you to instruct us in your holy word. We believe in your steadfast love and as your children, adopted to sonship, through our Lord Jesus’ death and resurrection we want to walk in the way of integrity, following the monitions of the Holy Spirit.

As staunch believers, with deep faith in our God’s promises, it would be reprovable if we followed the ways of the world and failed to submit ourselves to our loving God, willing and waiting to lead us to perfection in our lives. A heavenly training is one of the covenant blessings which adoption seals to us. Jesus has led us into a lasting relationship with you, Abba Father, and we need you to protect and shelter us from evil designs and wicked ruses, which the incorrigible and corrupt tempter does not hesitate to use.

We place our lives under your control, that by your love we are brought to a greater understanding of your ways. Your eye of providence overlooks everything, and your just counsel will keep us always protected. We acknowledge your dominion over our lives and will continue to follow the guidance of the Holy Spirit in his wisdom, and the care provided by our good shepherd, our Lord Jesus, all the days of our lives. Amen
