Shout for joy to God, all the earth! Sing the glory of his name; make his praise glorious…Come and see what God has done, his awesome deeds for mankind! Psalm 66: 1-2, 5
God of Power and infinite Majesty, the whole universe hails and exalts your holy name in song and praise, acknowledging your sovereignty over all things visible and invisible, as we rejoice and summon the whole earth to pay you obeisance and reverence to the glory of your name. We pledge and offer thanksgiving sacrifices pleasing to you.
You extend prosperity to all who know you and make your name known by sharing the good news of your faithfulness and righteousness, your unparalleled power and wondrous deeds, causing your people to flourish and your enemies to be destroyed.
Heavenly Father, your love for your children is so selfless that though you were before the beginning of creation and will continue to be, after its end, you have manifested abundant mercy and compassion and deep humility in saving and delivering ungrateful mankind from bondage. You have filled us with your grace and with hearts full to overflowing, we offer you our exuberant worship.
You are with us and ever will be and though we fear your wrath, your tender mercy outweighs it and assures us of a measure of kindness in your judgement and justice for us. We beseech you dear Lord, to uphold us when we are weak, restore us when we falter and deliver us when we fall, for in you we rely for safety. You are our stronghold and our sanctuary, and we pray to live in the shadow of your presence in your protection, through the intercession of our mediator Jesus Christ. Amen
