Jesus said to the people: Everyone whom the Father gives me will come to me. I will certainly not reject anyone who comes to me. – John 6: 37
God our Father, from the beginning of the world you have provided for us, sustained us, delivered us from every misery, and reinstated us as your children, when it became expedient to rescue and restore us, thus vanquishing and banishing the wicked adversaries. Just as you granted manna to those saved out of slavery in Egypt and all your chosen, who heralded the new life you gave them by following Moses, so also, you sent Jesus as the Bread of Life.
The person who aligns with Jesus, hungers and thirsts no more, because they have been handpicked by you, Father, to receive redemption not just by their faith, but by your saving grace. Jesus holds fast to each individual you have given him to save, in order to accomplish your Holy Will. Only those who are chosen can enter, through Jesus, into heaven and our Savior, in Whose safekeeping we are, assures us that we need to follow him faithfully.
God of our salvation, you bring people to saving faith, and we praise, thank, and glorify your Holy Name, rejoicing at being one among your elected people, and partakers in the heavenly domains and inheritance. Those who are saved are those whom you have favored with eternal security, safe in the hands of our Good Shepherd, for those who are truly saved in Christ can never lose that salvation. We exult in the belief of Jesus’ unconditional acceptance of all who have been given to him by you, Father, and in the knowledge that we will be unfailingly saved in Jesus’ Name. Amen
